The Ella the Restless Princess book is a princess book dedicated to Bob Redmon, a remarkable artist, father, and friend whose infectious charisma and positivity will always be remembered. During a challenging time when Bob battled illness in 2021, my daughter Ella and I found comfort in creativity. Due to hospital restrictions, Ella was not allowed to visit Bob. While my wife stayed by her father's side, Ella and I spent our days playing, watching cartoons, and covering everything in sight with stickers. Playing with those stickers sparked the idea to use them in creating a story. That sticker adventure became the inspiration for Ella the Restless Princess, a children's chapter book. Though Bob’s passing weighed heavily on us, those moments of creativity taught us that imagination can bring joy even in grief. Bob's legacy of creativity and “zest for life” lives on in our hearts forever.
